Detecting a very real situation in the world which could be described as "too much media," Matthew C. Brown creates Jessica Fletcher.

Although Jessica Fletcher was originally conceived as an alternative/punk rock combo, it has since metamorphosed into a one-man didgeridoo/vocal wa wa band.

Our first album, VanDenBerghe, will debut very soon.

JF PREMIERES FIRST MUSIC VIDEO

With the release of VanDenBerghe fast approaching, Jessica Fletcher released its first music video on April 24th, 2002. Titled "add blue take out light," the video was available for download exclusively on tederick.com. The video will be made available again soon in a new format.

"Add Blue Take Out Light" is about our futures, and also our selves. It is about annoying people who try to pick you up in a bar, and about the first moment you get Flippy Dooku to really flip. It is about mounting tension, and impending release. It is about the second episode, and the guy with the hat. It is about Stephen Roque, and is somewhat about Daniel Cockburn, but not nearly so much as it is about Chris MacLean, and his incest fetish. Jessica Fletcher is proud to present "Add Blue Take Out Light" in memory of Ligeia, and also Mendelsohnnn.

JF ANNOUNCES SECOND ALBUM

April 23, 2002

With the release of VanDenBerghe rapidly approaching, plans are already in place for the second Jessica Fletcher album - to be titled Glucas - to be released late in 2002.

"It was time," said JF's spokesmodel, Bindi Von Stroheim. "Interest in Jessica Fletcher is through the roof. We'd be fools not to put as much content out there as we possibly can."

Von Stroheim promises that the second album will be a more meditative look at the roots of Jessica Fletcher, which he calls "stronger than the foundations of the earth." He also mentioned, in passing, that longtime JF collaborator Gregor McEwan will likely contribute material for one or two of the tracks on the second CD.

Jessica Fletcher delighted its fans at the Roxy on Friday night with a previously-unheard track. Von Stroheim acknowledged that the track, called "Flippy Dooku" (pronounced: D'oh Koo) will be the debut single on Glucas. He also confirmed that "People Who Fucked Me Over Are Going Over The Edge... OF A BUILDING - dot com" will appear on the CD, along with "Theme from The Dazed In Our Lives."

Stay tuned to Jessica Fletcher's official site for more information as it becomes available!

JF's SECOND SINGLE: AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD!

April 4, 2002

Jessica Fletcher's latest single, "Attack of the Clones," can be previewed in MP3 format by clicking HERE.

"Attack of the Clones" is about sameness, and yet also difference, and kinda-tha-sameness. It is about attacking and retreating, flowing and ebbing, pumping and pulsing, thinking and throbbing. It is an assault: on reality, on the senses, on the concept of VCR4x, and on just about everything else. Remeber: they are using a bounty hunter named Jango Fett to create a clone army. And that's never good.

Still Available: Our first single!

"Sparg from Kronk (The Novel Within the Novel Within the Novel)" attempts to fuse warring viewpoints in the world of didgeridoo based music. Questions are posed, and the audience must answer: Are the old traditions dying? Are the new traditions really so great? Can a didgeridoo be not just an integral part, but a leading part of a modern orchestra? Who was Sparg? Where was Kronk? Will I be sued today? Will I be sued tomorrow? Is it possible that I was sued yesterday and don't know about it yet? And if Morley Safer really tried to take me, would I be able to fight back without laughing?

Special Bonus Single!

As a treat for our growing fan base, a second track from VanDenBerghe is now available for download. Click HERE to download "CBIAP-1!"

"CBIAP-1" is an answer. It is a determination. It is a bold thrust into the moist nether-regions of an unknowing third party with a fiery-veined Sabre of Truth. What questions does it answer? What price art? And why is art so expensive? And why does "art" commonly refer to painting? Who gave painting supremacy over all Art? Is there a way to make a question mark bigger in HTML?
